Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, Communications & M&A, you will support the development and execution of Equans North America's growth strategy across the United States and Canada.
This position offers a unique opportunity to participate in strategic planning, market analysis, acquisition screening, M&A execution.
You will work closely with operating companies, executive leadership and external advisors, while contributing to Equans' ambitious growth plans in North America.
1. Strategy & Market Intelligence
• Monitor key market trends across the construction, energy services, industrial and technical services sectors.
• Track competitive developments and strategic moves in the United States and Canada.
• Prepare strategic presentations and market analyses for senior management.
• Support the development of growth strategies across Equans North America.
• Conduct industry research and benchmarking studies to identify opportunities trends.
2. M&A Screening & Origination
• Support the active screening of acquisition opportunities across the US and Canada.
• Maintain and develop target company databases and market maps.
• Conduct preliminary assessments of potential acquisition targets, including strategic fit, market positioning and growth potential.
• Participate in outreach and deal origination initiatives
• Help identify new sectors, geographies and capabilities that support Equans' growth strategy.
3. Due Diligence & Transaction Execution
• Support financial, commercial and strategic analyses of acquisition opportunities.
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams with internal subject matter experts from finance, legal, tax, HR, IT, operations and HSE teams.
• Interface with external advisors: lawyers, accounting firms, investment bankers
• Track due diligence requests and manage information flows between stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of transaction summaries and management reports.
4. Executive Committees & Decision-Making Support
• Prepare investment committee presentations and supporting materials.
• Assist in the development of acquisition business cases and valuation analyses.
• Support the preparation of executive presentations for Equans North America and Equans Group leadership.
